I opened Salon Envy in 2006 because I wanted to create a place where guests feel comfortable, where they receive the service they deserve, and the style they want. Hairdressing has been my passion since I was in high school, when I gave my best friend a perm in my parents bathroom sink. (It looked great!) I bought my first set of professional shears and headed to the Horst Education Center in Minneapolis to study to become a stylist. Stints in London (at Aveda) and New York (at Bumble and Bumble, and Redken) soon followed. Moving to Chicago, I worked at some of the top salons before starting my own. Salon Envy’s first location opened on Clybourn Ave. in Lincoln Park, and later moved to the current space on Halsted St. in 2011. Styles change quickly, and we know that it’s vitally important to keep up. You can be confident that all the stylists here receive ongoing training in cutting, coloring, and styling. We’re always up-to-date on the latest trends. (I was recently certified in Great Lengths hair extensions.) Whether people come to see me, or any of the stylists here, I want every customer to walk out the door feeling great |

Hi! My name is Rachel and I am the Education Director/Stylist here at Salon Envy. Your first experience with me will start with a thorough consultation where we discuss your hair needs and concerns, desired look, followed by my personal and professional opinion for your hair. I love this industry because I get the chance to make my clients feel confident and look beautiful. I have the ability to connect with my clients on a personal level while keeping a high level of professionalism. I love that Salon Envy is warm and welcoming, but still keeps a trendy, chic, and upscale vibe. I attend international hair shows annually and at my previous salon I traveled throughout the United States working with an international beauty company. Education is a top priority in my life so I can utilize every thing I learn to benefit my clients. I specialize in corrective color and custom changes in your cut and color. I have been trained in 8 different types of human hair extensions and also taught extension classes at salons in Michigan. The most popular type of extensions I do and also have in my own hair are EuroSoCap. Check them out and come in for a free consultation anytime! Nice to meet you! |

I’ve been a hairstylist for over 6 years, and making people feel beautiful is my passion. I trained and worked at some of the top salons in the Metro Detroit area, and recently moved to Chicago to expand my career and challenge myself in a more competitive market. My creative outlet is coloring and cutting hair. I specialize in precision haircutting and multi-dimensional hair color. I don’t limit myself, because I always feel I can learn more to expand my artistic creativity with hair coloring and cutting. My goal with my clients is to create their own individual style that fits their personality and lifestyle. Healthy and beautiful hair is what I want for my clients. |

I've enjoyed working in the hair industry since 2005. I've had extensive training under a top stylist from Aveda, along with education classes with Redken and Wella, involving color theory and cutting techniques. I can definitely say being a stylist is what I've always wanted as my career, and I am very passionate in all areas of the industry. I am grateful I get the opportunity to work with clients to provide styles that meet their wishes. I look forward to meeting with you! |

The hair industry has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up with 4 stylists in my family and have been working in the industry myself since 2007. Since beauty school I have continued my education with in New York at the Redken Exchange with several well-known artists. They have given me the education and training I need to please my clients in all aspects of hair industry. Having recently moved to Chicago from Cincinnati, I am excited to continue my passion of making people feel great about themselves and their hair. I look forward to providing a relaxing service with the promise of beautiful and healthy hair when you walk out the door!

I have been a hairstylist for 5 years and love every aspect of the hair industry. I specialize in creating the perfect color and cut to fit my client’s lifestyle and I also love creating formal updo’s for any occasion. My passion for my work comes from having a one on one relationship with all of my clients to make sure they get the perfect hair every time. It is extremely important to spend time listening to my client’s needs in the consultation in order to pinpoint exactly what the client looking for in the service. I’ve been through many advanced technical education classes including Oribe, Wella, Redken, and Bumble and Bumble. I have recently moved to Chicago to experience more, challenge myself and broaden my clientele. Can’t wait to meet you! |

I began at the age of 17 as an after-school salon assistant, attending The Blaine Cosmetology School in Boston and quickly pinned down an apprenticeship on prestigious Newbury Street. Touring The U.S. on “American Team Y.E.S!” a youth platform and beauty team was the impetus for my move half way across the county to Chicago. After the team, I moved on to become hair color educator and brand manager for a hair color company based in Los Angeles. The skills I learned in these early years set the foundation for my career in the salon as well as in hair color education. My work has also appeared in numerous beauty and consumer magazines, landing my first cover shot proudly at the age of 26. I’m also an award winning inventor, having invented an electric hair styling brush that my brother and I developed. After entering it into a competition we excitedly sold the patent to a T.V. infomercial company. I currently round out my career by continuing to teach hair color part time and developing new products. |

I have been in the hair industry for 5 years, it has always been something I love doing. I began my career in Atlanta, Georgia with 2 years of advanced training in French Cutting, Balayage color technique, and styling. From there I found my passion for high fashion styles. I love trying new things with my clients and updating their looks with the seasons to keep them feeling fresh and new. If you’re looking to transform your look, I’m your girl! I love everything the hair industry has to offer, and I routinely volunteer for shows and classes to help expand my knowledge. From the moment you step into the salon to the moment you leave I ensure that you have the best experience possible. |

Being in the skincare industry for three years now, I have grown extremely passionate for my craft in Esthetics. Being Dermalogica certified, I am highly trained in preforming relaxing, yet effective, customized facials. I feel very strongly about sending every guest home with a good understanding for their skin, and the products that they should be using. My advanced knowledge and skills in waxing has led me to become a brazilian and brow specialist, as well as an in salon educator. My touch is always gentle and I will leave your skin feeling healthy and rejuvenated. |
